Morrowind Weapon Artifacts
There are a number of artifact weapons that can be found throughout the game of Morrowind. For Tribunal and Bloodmoon artifacts, check the Tribunal Artifact Page and the Bloodmoon Artifact Page.
Artifacts are specifically defined as anything with a unique appearance. This is opposed to Unique Weapons, which are defined as those which there is only one of, but which have the same appearance as other generic items.
- Notes
- Speed for weapons specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Dmg Ratio gives the damage per time for the weapon with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic based damage the weapon may have.
- Cost Per Use gives the amount of charge required to use the item at an Enchant skill of 1 and 100.
- Only the most exceptional magical items and artifacts are included here.

The Skull Crusher is an amazingly large, and powerful weapon. The Warhammer was created in a fire, magically fueled by the Wizard, Dorach Gusal, and was forged by the great weaponsmith, Hilbongard Rolamus. The steel is magically hardened and the weight of the weapon is amazingly light, which makes for more powerful swings and deadly blows. The Warhammer was to be put on display for a festival, but thieves got it first. The Skull Crusher still travels Tamriel in search of its creators. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Skull Crusher is one of the harder weapons to obtain. This warhammer is located in the Forgotten Vaults of Anudnabia, Forge of Hilbongard, which can only be accessed via the Omaren Ancestral Tomb (east of Sadrith Mora), in an enchanted chest hovering above the lava pool. It is found during an Oracle's Quest for the Imperial Cult.

Sunder is a legendary hammer crafted by the Dwemer Tonal Architect Lord Kagrenac. Together with Keening and Wraithguard, these tools are necessary to handle the Heart of Lorkhan. All three artifacts came into the possession of the Almsivi following the Battle of Red Mountain. Sunder, along with Keening, was subsequently lost during an annual pilgrimage to the Heart some time in the Third Era.
Carried by Dagoth Vemyn in the citadel of Vemynal, northwest of Dagoth Ur's Citadel in the center of the island.
This artifact is obtained at the end of the Main Quest and is required to finish it. You can get the weapon at any time, but you can't equip it for very long, since it has the 'mortal wound' ability. Once you have Wraithguard (and have it equipped), this will no longer happen. See the Sunder Artifact Quest for more information.
Notes
- There is a voice over for Dagoth Ur that goes unused referencing a "false copy" of Sunder. No such item is available in the game. However, two unused copies of said hammer, both labeled **Sunder**, can be found in the Construction Set. Bethesda Softworks has assigned them the IDs "false_sunder" and "sunder_fake". Additionally, in Plan to Defeat Dagoth Ur, Vivec mentions, "If Nerevarine can equip [Sunder or Keening] while not wearing Wraithguard and receive no injury, the item is a counterfeit." A counterfeit version of Sunder was most likely planned for the game but later scrapped.

Hasedoki was said to have been a very competitive wizard. He wandered the land in search for a wizard who was greater than he. To the best of all knowledge, he never found a wizard who could meet up to his challenge. It is said that he felt so lonely and isolated because so many feared his power, that he bonded his life-force into his very own staff, where his soul remains to this very day. Magic users all over Tamriel have been searching for this magical staff. Granting its wielder a protection of magicka, it is a sure prize for any magic user. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore

The Staff of Magnus, one of the elder artifacts of Tamriel, was a metaphysical battery of sorts for its creator, Magnus. When used, it absorbs an enemy's health and mystical energy. In time, the Staff will abandon the mage who wields it before he becomes too powerful and upsets the mystical balance it is sworn to protect. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
It is carried by Dreveni Hlaren in the cave of Assu, in the mountains northwest of Molag Mar.
Ajira gives you a quest to find this staff after you reach the rank of Warlock in the Mages Guild.

Speed | 1.0 | Reach | 1.5 |

The Hammer of Might, Volendrung is said to have been created by the Dwemer of the now abandoned clan of Rourken, hundreds of years before they disappeared from the world of Tamriel. It has the ability to grant health to its wielder, but it is best known for the paralyzing and strength leeching effects it has when cast at an enemy. Like the Dwarves who created it, Volendrung is prone to disappearing suddenly, resurfacing sometimes in days, sometimes in eons. --Daggerfall description
Volendrung is a Dwemer weapon whose value is mostly historical in Morrowind. It lacks any enchantment, and is instead simply a unique-looking warhammer of modest attack power. It is associated with Malacath, though unrelated to his quest. Instead, it can be found in a chest in the Corprusarium Bowels beneath Tel Fyr, near Yagrum Bagarn's platform. It is the last in a series of chests opened by successive keys hidden in other chests, but you can also pick the lock or use an Open spell if you have one that can open a 100 point lock. Neither Yagrum nor Uupse Fyr, who are nearby, will mind if you take it.
Bows
Artifact: Auriel's Bow () |
|||
---|---|---|---|
Type | Bow | ||
Statistics | |||
Damage Damage | 2−50 | Health Health | 1,000 |
Weight Weight | 16 | Value Value | 30,000 |
Auriel's Bow appears as a modest Elven Longbow, but it is one of the mightiest ever to exist in Tamriel's history. Allegedly created and used, like its sister Auriel's Shield, by the great Elvish demi-god, the Bow can turn any arrow into a missile of death and destruction. Without Auriel's power behind it, however, the bow uses its own store of energy for its power. Once exhausted of this energy, the bow will vanish and reappear whereever chance puts it. Its most recent appearances have been the subject of gossip for hundreds of years.
Telvanni Councilor Therana will talk to you about this bow, which she says smells faintly of Ash Yams. She says the 'smell' is strongest in Ghostgate near Ralyn Othravel. Ralyn can be found in the Tower of Dawn and is indeed carrying the bow, though you'll have to kill or pickpocket him in order to get it.
Notes
- This bow also appeared in Arena, Daggerfall, and Skyrim (via the Dawnguard plug-in), though it includes powerful enchantments in those games, instead of being unenchanted as it is in Morrowind.
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 15,000 gold. Only the unenchanted version can be sold, as its ID will change after enchanting it.
Artifact: Bow of Shadows () (lore page) |

Weight Weight | 10 | Value Value | 42,000 |
Enchantment | |||
Charge/Cost = Uses | 340/68 = 5 |
Legend has it that the Bow of Shadows was forged by the Daedra Nocturnal. The legendary ranger, Raerlas Ghile, was granted the Bow for a secret mission that failed, and the Bow was lost. Raerlas did not go down without a hearty fight and is said to have, with the aid of the Bow, taken scores of his foes with him. The Bow grants the user the ability of invisibility and increased speed. Many sightings of the Bow of Shadows have been reported, and it is even said that the sinister Dark Elf assassin of the Second Era, Dram, once wielded this bow. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
This bow is found lying on a desk in the Venim Ancestral Tomb, north of the Zainab Camp.

The sword Goldbrand is almost a complete mystery. Thieves tell tales about its golden make and how it was actually forged by ancient dragons of the North. Their tales claim that it was given to a great knight who was sworn to protect the dragons. The Sword lends its wielder the ability to do fire damage on an enemy. Goldbrand has not been sighted in recent history and is said to be awaiting a worthy hero. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
This magical katana is received as a reward from Boethiah. See the Boethiah's Quest for more information.

The Paladin's Blade is an ancient claymore with offensive capabilities surpassed only by its own defenses. It lends the wielder health, protects him or her from fire, and reflects any spells cast against the wielder back to the caster. Seldom has Chrysamere been wielded by any bladesman for any length of time, for it chooses not to favor one champion. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
One of the more powerful weapons in the game, the Chrysamere is carried by Draramu Hloran in Abanabi (southwest of Sadrith Mora) and is needed for the Lord's Mail quest.

Probably the most rare and even outlawed item of all the great prizes is the Daedric Crescent Blade. The Blade was used by Mehrunes Dagon's Daedric forces in the capture of the Imperial Battlespire. These extremely unique Blades were gathered up and destroyed after the Battlespire was recaptured by the Empire. All but one it seems. Though the Empire believes them all to be destroyed, it is rumored that one still remains in existence, somewhere in Tamriel, though none have ever seen it. The Blade lends it's [sic] wielder the ability to do great damage on an enemy and allows him to paralyze and put heavy wear on his enemy's armor. Quite the prize for any mighty warrior, if it does indeed exist. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
This unique weapon is carried by the Dremora Lord Dregas Volar in Magas Volar. The Daedric Crescent is reminiscent of the weapon in Battlespire, where it first appeared but was not playable.
The only way to acquire this weapon is to travel to Magas Volar using the Daedric Sanctuary Amulet.

|||
---|---|---|---|
Type | Long Blade Two Hand | ||

Enchantment | |||
Charge/Cost = Uses | 60/6 = 10 |
The Ice Blade of the Monarch is truly one of Tamriel's most prized artifacts. Legend has it that the Evil Archmage Almion Celmo enchanted the claymore of a great warrior with the soul of a Frost Monarch, a stronger form of the more common Frost Atronach. The warrior, Thurgnarr Assi, was to play a part in the assassination of a great king in a far off land, and become the new leader. The assassination failed and the Archmage was imprisoned. The Ice Blade freezes all who feel its blade. The Blade circulates from owner to owner, never settling in one place for long. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
The Ice Blade of the Monarch is carried by Llaren Terano, who can be found in the arena of Rotheran, a stronghold south of Dagon Fel on the island of Sheogorad. This weapon is needed for the quest of the same name.

- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram's museum for 30,000 gold.

The Umbra Sword was enchanted by the ancient witch Naenra Waerr, and its sole purpose was the entrapment of souls. Used in conjunction with a soul gem, the Sword allows the wielder the opportunity to imprison an enemy's soul in the gem. Naenra was executed for her evil creation, but not before she was able to hide the Sword. The Umbra Sword is very choosy when it comes to owners and therefore remains hidden until a worthy one is found. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Carried by the Orc warrior Umbra, just northeast of Suran, over the hill from the tradehouse (acquired during the Umbra quest).
Notes
- This sword also appears in Oblivion, with a similar enchantment, though in Oblivion it is a one-handed weapon.

Black Marsh was once known to be inhabited with what the Argonians called the Wamasus. Northern men considered them to be intelligent dragons with lightning for blood. One such mighty beast, Haynekhtnamet, was slain by the Northern men, though it took 7 days and nights, and a score of men. One of the surviving men took a fang home as a trophy. The fang was carved down into a blade and fashioned into a small dagger. The Dagger mysteriously houses some of the beast's magical properties and grants the user the ability to do shock damage on an opponent. This unique Dagger is seen occasionally by traveling heroes. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
This dagger can be obtained by searching in an altar trough in the Shrine of Pitted Dreams, within the Sixth House base Mamaea (southeast of Gnisis).

It's well worth the effort, though, as you will be rewarded with the Spear of Bitter Mercy. The fork is listed as an artifact because no item in the game has the same appearance. However, in the construction set, there is an item named "Iron Fork", that seems to be the item base for the Fork of Horripilation.

One of the more mysterious artifacts is the Spear of Bitter Mercy. Little to nothing is known about the Spear. There are no recorded histories but many believe it to be of Daedric origin. The only known legend about it is its use by a mighty hero during the fall of the Battlespire. The hero was aided by the Spear in the defeat of Mehrunes Dagon and the recapturing of the Battlespire. Since that time, the Spear of Bitter Mercy has made few appearances within Tamriel. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Obtained on a quest for the Daedra Sheogorath in the Ihinipalit shrine in the Underworks of St. Delyn Canton in Vivec. Sheogorath will ask you to recover the Fork of Horripilation from a mad hermit near Ald Redaynia, on the long island north of the mainland, and use it to kill a Giant Bull Netch that lives nearby. See the Sheogorath's Quest for more information.
Notes
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 30,000 gold.

Morrowind Armor Artifacts
An artifact is a unique and unusually powerful magical item. Many of the artifacts in Morrowind have appeared in other Elder Scrolls games, as listed at the Lore article on Artifacts.
Artifacts are specifically defined as anything with a unique appearance. This is opposed to Unique Armor, which are defined as those which there is only one of, but which have the same appearance as other generic items.
There are a number of armor artifacts that can be found throughout the game of Morrowind. For Tribunal and Bloodmoon artifacts, check the Tribunal Artifact Page and the Bloodmoon Artifact Page.
- Notes
- Armor Rating is given both as base values and Max values, which apply when you have 100 points in the relevant armor skill.
- Charge/Cost= Uses indicates how many uses on average you can get before needing to recharge the armor(or wait for it to charge on its own). Note that the Cost depends on your Enchant skill, so your results may vary.
- Only the most exceptional magical items and artifacts are included here.

Another of Hircine's artifacts was the Cuirass of the Savior's Hide. The Cuirass has the special ability to resist magicka. Legend has it that Hircine rewarded his peeled hide to the first and only mortal to have ever escaped his hunting grounds. This unknown mortal had the hide tailored into this magical Cuirass for his future adventures. The Savior's Hide has a tendency to travel from hero to hero as though it has a mind of its own. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Found in a locked wardrobe on the same level as Divayth Fyr in the tower of Tel Fyr. Fyr won't mind you taking this cuirass.
Notes
- This armor is also found in Battlespire (as a full set found in the Chimera of Desolation), Oblivion (as Saviour's Hide) and Skyrim (as Savior's Hide) with slightly different enchantments in each case.

This cuirass is one of the greatest artifacts any collector or hero could own. It is constructed of real dragon bone and was enchanted by the first Imperial Battlemage, Zurin Arctus, in the early years of the Third Era. It is a truly exquisite piece of work and many have sought to possess it. The properties of the Cuirass allow the wearer to completely resist fire, and to damage an enemy with a blast of fire. Little is known about the involvement of Zurin Arctus with the enchantment of the Cuirass, but an old tale speaks of a debt that he owed to a traveling warrior. Like the warrior, the Dragonbone Mail never stays put for long. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Found within the Mudan Grotto (southwest of Ebonheart), Central Vault, in a locked Dwemer closet.
Notes
- Contrary to the in-game description, the armor does not grant the wearer any Fire Damage abilities.
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 30,000 gold.

Weight Weight | 20 (Medium) | Value Value | 120,000 |
The Ebony Mail is a breastplate created before recorded history by the Dark Elven goddess Boethiah. It is she who determines who should possess the Ebony Mail and for how long a time. If judged worthy, its power grants the wearer added resistance of fire, magicka, and grants a magical shield. It is Boethiah alone who determines when a person is ineligible to bear the Ebony Mail any longer, and the goddess can be very capricious. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
The armor is obtained via a high ranking quest for the Tribunal Temple. See the Ebony Mail quest for more information.
Notes
- Despite being medium armor rather than heavy, this artifact ties the Dragonbone cuirass and Lord's Mail as the cuirass with the highest armor rating.
- This artifact also appears in Arena, Daggerfall, with similar enchantments. In Skyrim, it appears with different effects.
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 30,000 gold.

The Lord's Mail, sometimes called the Armor of Morihaus or the gift of Kynareth, is an ancient cuirass of unsurpassable quality. It grants the wearer power to absorb health, resist the effects of spells, and cure oneself of poison when used. It is said that whenever Kynareth deigns the wearer unworthy, the Lord's Mail will be taken away and hidden for the next chosen one.
The Lord's Mail is a legendary armor artifact and precious to the Imperial Legion. The deserter Furius Acilius is suspected in its disappearance, and is thought to hide in the Underground Caves near Ebonheart. See the Lord's Mail quest for more information.

Randagulf of Clan Begalin goes down in Tamrielic history as one of the mightiest warriors from Skyrim. He was known for his courage and ferocity in battle and was a factor in many battles. He finally met his fate when King Harald conquered Skyrim. King Harald respected this great hero and took Randagulf's gauntlets for his own. After King Harald died, the gauntlets disappeared. The King claimed that the Fists granted the bearer added strength. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Found in Ilunibi (northwest from Gnaar Mok), Soul's Rattle section, behind the trough on the western side of the large room to the northeast (next to the Sixth House bells). These are the highest rated gauntlets in the game.

Wraithguard is a legendary gauntlet crafted by the Dwemer Tonal Architect Lord Kagrenac, in order to handle Keening and Sunder. Together they make the tools necessary to handle the Heart of Lorkhan.
The right gauntlet is given to you by Vivec during the Main Quest. Alternatively, you can kill Vivec and have the glove activated by Yagrum Bagarn. See the Hortator and Nerevarine quest for more information.
Notes
- The second ID is the one you get for killing Vivec. This version is left-handed, and has the appearance of a Daedric Left Gauntlet when worn, but can inflict a savage wound, depending on your version of the game.
- * After receiving Vivec's Wraithguard, you can kill him and have the Dwemer Artifact turned into a second one, allowing you to have two.
- PC Only This bug is fixed by the Morrowind Patch Project.
- You can complete the main quest line without Wraithguard — it is just more difficult, since you will lose health continuously (50-125 damage/sec with 0% Resist Magicka) while using Keening or Sunder.
- The resistance to blight disease is only significant if Wraithguard is obtained from killing Vivec. At the point in the Main Quest when you are given Wraithguard, you already have 100% resistance.

One of Valenwood's legendary heroes is Oreyn Bearclaw. Son of King Faume Toad-Eye, he was a respected clan hunter and a future leader. Wood Elven legend claims Oreyn single handedly defeated Glenhwyfaunva, the witch-serpent of the Elven wood, forever bringing peace to his clan. Oreyn would go on to accomplish numerous other deeds, eventually losing his life to the Knahaten Flu. His Helm stood as a monument of his stature for future generations to remember. The Helm was lost eventually, as the Clan split, and is now a treasured artifact for adventurers. The Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is rumored to improve the wearers [sic] agility and endurance. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore

Weight Weight | 15 (Heavy) | Value Value | 15,000 |
Ever the vain one, Clavicus Vile made a masque suited to his own personality. The bearer of the Masque is more likely to get a positive response from the people of Tamriel. The higher his personality, the larger the bonus. The best known story of the Masque tells the tale of Avalea, a noblewoman of some renown. As a young girl, she was grossly disfigured by a spiteful servant. Avalea made a dark deal with Clavicus Vile and received the Masque in return. Though the Masque did not change her looks, suddenly she had the respect and admiration of everyone. A year and a day after her marriage to a well connected baron, Clavicus Vile reclaimed the Masque. Although pregnant with his child, Avalea was banished from the Baron's household. Twenty one years and one day later, Avalea's daughter claimed her vengeance by slaying the Baron. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
This is related to an Imperial Legion quest you receive at Moonmoth Legion Fort. The Masque can be found on a mage in Sorkvild's Tower, just east of Dagon Fel. See the Sorkvild the Raven quest for more information.
Notes
- This masque also appears in Daggerfall, Oblivion, and Skyrim, with similar enchantments.

Weight Weight | 30 (Heavy) | Value Value | 17,000 |
Auriel's Shield, an Ebony shield said to have once belonged to the quasi-mythical Elvish deity Auriel, can make its wielder nigh invulnerable. In its resistance to fire and magick, Auriel's Shield is unsurpassed. Like many artifacts of Tamriel, the Shield has life and personality of its own, and does not feel bound to its user. A popular fable tells the tale of it abandoning one wielder in her greatest hour of need, but this is perhaps apocryphal. — Daggerfall description
Held by Drelyne Llenim in Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk.
Notes
- This artifact also appeared in Arena and Daggerfall, though it had a powerful enchantment in those games that it lacks in Morrowind, and also appears in Skyrim with the Dawnguard plug-in.
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 8,500 gold.

Eleidon was a holy knight of legend in Breton history. He was a sought after man for his courage and determination to set all wrongs right. In one story, it is said that he rescued a Baron's daughter from sure death at the hands of an evil warlord. Spell Breaker, superficially a Dwemer tower shield, is one of the most ancient relics of Tamriel. Aside from its historical importance in the Battle of Rourken-Shalidor, the Spell Breaker protects its wielder almost completely from any spell caster, either by reflecting magicks or silencing any mage about to cast a spell. It is said that Spell Breaker still searches for its original owner, and will not remain the property of anyone else for long. For most, possessing Spell Breaker for any length of time is power enough. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
Found in the Dwemer ruin Bthuand, which is near the northern coast of the mainland just west of the Daedric ruin Zergonipal. The shield is hidden among some rocks in the south-southeast part of the ruins near a dead adventurer. This shield is needed for the vampiric quest from Mastrius, in Salvel Ancestral Tomb.

Moon-and-Star is a Dwarven ring of Chimer hero Nerevar. The artifact was forged by one of the smiths of Dwemer Sorcerer-priest Kagrenac and blessed by the Daedric Goddess Azura. The ring lent Nerevar supernatural powers of persuasion and indisputable proof of identity, since any other who tried to wear it would be killed instantly. The Moon-and-Star helped Nerevar unite the warring Chimer clans, and form the First Council which included the Dwemer.
Moon-and-Star played a role in the Nerevarine Prophecies, as it allowed the Nerevarine, the reincarnation of Nerevar, to again unite the Great Houses and Ashlander clans, this time in the battle against the forces of Dagoth Ur.
The ring is received from Azura in the Cavern of the Incarnate during the Third Trial of the Main Quest. See The Path of the Incarnate quest for more information.

. They are identical, but this version is not found in-game.

One of the more deadly and rare artifacts in Tamriel is the Vampiric Ring. It is said that the Ring has the power to steal its victim's health and grant it to the wearer. The exact nature and origin of the Ring is wholly unknown, but many elders speak of its evil creation in Morrowind long, long ago by a cult of Vampire followers. The Vampiric Ring is an extremely rare artifact and is only seen every few hundred cycles of the moons. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
The powerful Vampiric Ring is held by a skeleton war-wizard, located on the top level of the Velothi tower of Ald Redaynia. You'll come across this ring in the Thieves Guild quest The Bitter Cup.
Since few have resistance to magicka, the Vampiric Ring is possibly the most damaging ring in the game, though it holds only two charges.
Notes
- As part of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 16,000 gold.

The Warlock's Ring of the Archmage Syrabane is one of the most popular relics of myth and fable. In Tamriel's ancient history, Syrabane saved all of the continent by judicious use of his Ring, and ever since, it has helped adventurers with less lofty goals. It is best known for its ability to reflect spells cast at its wearer and to improve his or her speed and to restore health. No adventurer can wear the Warlock's Ring for long, for it is said that the Ring is Syrabane's alone to command. —Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore
The Warlock's Ring is a legendary ring which Ajira, in the Balmora Guild of Mages, will tell you about, but only after you have found the Staff of Magnus.
The ring is currently held by Vindamea Drethan in Ashirbadon, a cave on a small island east of the ruins of Bal Fell, just east of the city of Vivec at the bottom of the map.
Notes
- Despite the in-game description, this ring does not have a Restore Health enchantment. This more closely describes the Daggerfall and Arena versions of this artifact.
- With the installation of the Tribunal expansion, this artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 11,000 gold.

Morrowind Unique Weapons
Unique items are specifically defined as those which there is only one of, but which use the same appearance as other generic items. This is opposed to Artifacts, which are defined as anything with a unique appearance.
- Spd. specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Dmg. Ratio gives the damage per time for the weapon with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic-based damage the weapon may have. This is calculated by multiplying the highest damage value by the weapon's speed. Weapons which do magical damage on strike have an additional value given, which is the average damage of the enchantment.
- Charge/Cost=Uses indicates how many uses on average you can get before needing to recharge the weapon (or wait for it to charge on its own). Note that the Cost varies depending on your Enchant skill, so your results may vary.

Carried by Lord Cluttermonkey, found in the Used Clutter Warehouse. Since this is a test-cell, it can never be seen in-game. This also explains the rather bizarre enchantments on the weapon, and the fact that it lacks a charge, so it can't really do anything anyway. Turning on God mode however will allow it to work as the game gives enchanted weapons unlimited charge, even when they would be unusable without god mode active. | ||||||||||

Madstone of the Ahemmusa | 3.0 | 3,100 |
Equip for quick transport to Tel Fyr (in theory) |

Found on the corpse of Lord Dregas Volar in Magas Volar. Since you are immediately teleported away from Magas Volar after killing Dregas Volar, it is generally not possible to obtain this amulet. See the notes on Magas Volar for tips on how to get it. The Tel Fyr Amulet is supposed to transport you back to Tel Fyr when you equip it. Unfortunately, a bug in the script will cause it to crash your game instead. This bug is fixed by the Morrowind Patch Project, although the patch also makes it a reusable method of teleportation to Tel Fyr. |

Bloodmoon Artifacts
Artifacts are specifically defined as any exceptional item with a unique appearance. This is opposed to Unique items, which are defined as those which there is only one of, but which use the same appearance as other generic items.
This is a list of artifacts that were added in the Bloodmoon expansion pack for Morrowind.
- Notes
- Armor Rating: given for characters with 100 in the appropriate armor skill.
- Speed: (for weapons) specifies how many times per second the weapon swings, with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Dmg Ratio: gives the maximum damage per second for the weapon, with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic based damage the weapon may have.
- ID: shows the internal name for the item. This can also be used as a cheat code to add the item to the player's (or another's) inventory.
- Only the most exceptional magical items and artifacts are included here.

Hircine's Ring is a unique artifact which appears in your inventory once you defeat Tharsten Heart-Fang at the end of the main quest. See the Hircine's Hunt quest for more information.
If you put Hircine's ring on, you will turn into a werewolf for around six hours. You won't suffer from bloodlust, so you won't lose health if you don't kill anyone. But if you put it on while NPCs are looking, the world will still know you as a werewolf.
This ring has an enchant value of 120 like exquisite rings do and can contain spells without messing up the werewolf ability. When you are asked if you want to turn into a werewolf, select no, and the ring will grant the enchantment instead.
Tharsten claims that he has worn the ring for many generations, implying that it lengthens the wearer's lifespan in addition to its more obvious properties.
Bloodmoon Unique Items
Unique items are specifically defined as those which there is only one of, but which use the same appearance as other generic items. This is opposed to Artifacts, which are defined as any exceptional items with a unique appearance.
- Speed specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Charge indicates the enchantment charge available on the item.

Found on the corpse of Fryssa in Benkongerike, a cavern just east of Castle Karstaag, near the shore. Seems she suffered the same fate as Tarhiel, the Icarian Bosmer mage. Similar to the Mantle of Woe, the negative effects may be resisted by combining a Resist Magicka effect and a Resist Frost effect (Nords need only Resist Magicka since they're already immune to Frost) while equipping the robe, making this perhaps the best robe for anyone using the Sneak skill. | |||
Mantle of Woe |
3.00 | 10000 |
Constant Effect |
Found on the aspiring necromancer Tymvaul in the ice-cavern of Rimhull, just south-southwest of Skaal Village. The cavern can also be accessed via the locked well behind Tymvaul's father's house in the village. See the Tymvaul in the Well quest for more information.
The Drain Attribute and Weakness to Normal Weapons effects can be resisted with Resist Magicka, but Sun Damage cannot be resisted. Wearing enchanted items with Constant Effect Restore Health counters the effects of wearing this robe during the day. Healing 20 points of health per second is sufficient for the strongest sunlight. The Sun Damage caused by this robe will stack along with any Sun Damage you receive as a vampire. The Fortify Maximum Magicka effect granted by the robe is cumulative (stacks) with the base modifier (1x) as well as any other modifiers your PC has. Because of this maximum magicka can be raised quite high - though such a character would be 100% vulnerable to magicka, an Altmer born under the sign of the Apprentice wearing the robe would have 900 max magicka with 100 intelligence (which of course can also be boosted with artifacts like the Mentor's Ring or the Necromancer's Amulet). |

Tribunal Artifacts
Aviso: A chave de ordenação padrão "Dylanrush/AllMorrowindUnique" sobrepõe-se à anterior "Artifacts".
Artifacts are specifically defined as anything with a unique appearance. This is opposed to Unique items, which are defined as those which there is only one of, but which have the same appearance as other generic items.
This is a list of artifacts that were added in the Tribunal expansion pack for Morrowind. See also Morrowind:Artifacts.
- Notes
- Armor Rating is given for characters with 100 in the appropriate armor skill.
- Speed for weapons specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Damage Ratio gives the damage per time for the weapon with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic based damage the weapon may have. This is calculated by multiplying the highest damage value by the weapon's speed. Weapons which do magical damage on strike have an additional value given, which is the average damage of the enchantment.
- Cost Per Use gives the amount of charge required to use the item at an Enchant skill of 1 and 100.
- Only the most exceptional magical items and artifacts are included here.

"It was crafted near the end of the second age by Kyanka, a slightly deranged Altmer weaponsmith and enchanter. He had a rather warped sense of humor, and apparently delighted at the thought of reducing opponents to a gibbering mess before crushing them to death. The mace has, admittedly, seen little use." -Torasa Aram, Museum of Artifacts
Mace of Slurring is carried by Golena Sadri in the Old Mournhold, Forgotten Sewers area during The Thief quest. Not a very useful weapon, given that while decreasing the NPC's Speechcraft skill will increase your success rate in your use of Speechcraft with that NPC, attacking them with this weapon will decrease your Disposition with them anyway making this enchantment mostly useless. This artifact is probably one of the best choices to donate to the Museum.

Trueflame is obtained through completing The Blade of Nerevar quest during the Tribunal Main Quest. It is one of the best one handed swords in the game (Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon), and according to Almalexia is twinned with Hopesfire. This weapon is first identified as Odd Dwemer Weapon, which is missing a few parts. Once you get the parts and have them forged together, you will get the first version of this weapon, which has no enchantment, though it is significantly faster. It is ill-advised to enchant it yourself, as this will make it impossible to complete the Main Quest. Once you have completed the quest, you will have the full version of this sword, complete with enchantment.
Notes
- The sword also functions as a torch when drawn. If you have hotkeyed another weapon and switch to that without sheathing Trueflame, the light it generates will remain.

Legend has it that a nobleman sank his fortune into creating a blade of supreme power. Two smiths on opposite ends of Tamriel created each half of the blade, unaware of the other, with the hope that no one man, save the owner of the blade, would know its true power. Unfortunately, the smiths were not given enough instruction, and created halves with enchantments that completely negated each other. -- Torasa Aram, Museum of Artifacts
The BiPolar Blade is an interesting blade obtained only through a miscellaneous quest. See The MatchMaker Quest for more information. Although the in game description says otherwise the two enchantments don't exactly cancel each other out. A person struck with this weapon will not attack you (because of the calming spell) meaning that subsequent attacks will be considered assault if you are in town even if your enemy attacked you first. It is best to never use this weapon except against creatures. It also makes a fine artifact to give to Torasa Aram during The Blade of Nerevar quest.
Notes
- This artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 20,000 gold.

Artifact: Robe of the Lich () (lore page) |

---|---|---|---|
Type | Robe | ||
Statistics | |||
Weight Weight | 8 | Value Value | 22,000 |
Enchantment | |||
Charge/Cost = Uses | 725/145=5 |
The Robe of the Lich is the robe worn by the powerful lich Gedna Relvel. It allows the user to gain a temporary boost in magical power at the expense of their life force. Though it has very powerful Fortify Magicka enchantments, this is complicated by the fact that it drains 600 health when used, and both effects last for only one second, too short to actually cast anything. Use of this robe is inadvisable and is better off used as one of two required donated artifacts to receive the Dwemer Battle Shield from Torasa Aram as part of the Tribunal main quest line.
Notes
- This artifact can be sold to Torasa Aram in the museum for 11,000 gold.
Bugs
- When combined with Mantle of Woe, it's possible to make the fortification last more than a second. To do this, simply cast the Robe of the Lich's effect and open the inventory before the one second expires. Equip Mantle of Woe and wait for the fortification animation to complete. Unequip Mantle of Woe, and the fortification effect from the Robe of the Lich will stay until the player decreases their magicka levels back down to their normal level.
Tribunal Unique Items
Unique items are specifically defined as those which there is only one of, but which use the same appearance as other generic items. This is opposed to Artifacts, which are defined as anything with a unique appearance.
- Spd. specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.
- Dmg. Ratio gives the damage per time for the weapon with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic based damage the weapon may have. This is calculated by multiplying the highest damage value by the weapon's speed. Weapons which do magical damage on strike have an additional value given, which is the average damage of the enchantment.
- Charge/Cost=Uses indicates how many uses on average you can get before needing to recharge the weapon (or wait for it to charge on its own). Note that the Cost varies depending on your Enchant skill, so your results may vary.
