Birch logs of dusty white color with gray patches can be found in the first two Cadwell's Silver zones, as well as on the Veteran starter islands. Although rarely, some of the birch wood can also be obtained in Cyrodiil. One log can be harvested for three to four samples of the raw material, Rough Birch. Once ten samples of rough wood are collected, they can be refined into seven to ten pieces of the processed material, Sanded Birch. From the refined birch pieces a woodworker can craft birch staves and bows, as well as birch shields, at any woodworking station. In order for you to create birch gear your Woodworking ability has to be rank 6.
