Purchasable Sets are sets of armor, weapons and jewelry that provide special bonuses to players when the items of the same set are equipped simultaneously. Pieces of such sets can be obtained from armory merchants in Cyrodiil. Items of these sets cannot be crafted and do not drop from monsters, although they can sometimes be earned via mail by participating in PvP.

Gameplay

Some sets have pieces that can be bought directly from the merchant, but other sets do not. For those other sets, the merchant sells you a box containing a random item, which may be the set item. There are six different types of merchants in Cyrodiil, and each merchant carries a different piece of the set. For example, if you are looking for pieces of the Affliction set (which consists of a battle axe, a choker, and heavy armour), to get the battle axe you would buy boxes from a Weaponsmith, to get the choker you would buy from a Magus and to get the heavy armor you would buy boxes from the Armorer.
