Detailed Walkthrough
Prove your Worth
The two advanced trainers who can give you the master training reference necessary to start this quest are Margarte in Leyawiin or Seed-Neeus in Chorrol.
Speak to Palonirya in the Imperial City to find that she has only one requirement before she will train you in Mercantile: you must possess over 10,000 gold. You only need to have the gold before she trains you for the first time. Even if you then spend all the gold, she will continue to provide training (as long as you have enough gold to pay for the training session).
