Though fairly distant from the more inhabited areas of Vvardenfell, Gnisis has a good deal to offer as a place to call home. There's easy access via Almsivi or Divine Intervention (notably, if you are playing the Bloodmoon expansion, Almsivi Intervention from anywhere in Solstheim will bring you straight to Gnisis.), and a silt strider offers service to Ald'ruhn, Khuul, Maar Gan, and even as far as Seyda Neen. There's a full-service Tribunal Temple, as well as an Imperial Cult Shrine at Fort Darius, a tradehouse, and an outdoor market offering a variety of services. Members of the Imperial Legion will receive good treatment here, as well as your first quests for the faction. The homes are sparsely appointed, though decently sized.
Services
- Gnisis Temple
- Madach Tradehouse
- Fort Darius
- Various merchant stalls around the Temple
Abelmawia Hut
Storage: 1 Chest, 1 Pot, 16 Sacks, 3 Urns
Occupant(s): Hetman Abelmawia
Description: This hut just outside the gates of the Temple is the home of the village hetman, Abelmawia. There's little of note to be found here other than Abelmawia himself, who is involved in a few quests.
Almu Cave Dwelling
Storage: 1 Basket, 1 Chest, 3 Crates, 5 Sacks, 3 Urns
Occupant(s): Asharapli Almu
Description: This humble cave on the upper level of the hillside is the home of Asharapli Almu, a Gnisis Eggmine worker. She has little of value, though there is an Apprentice's Armorer's Hammer and two Miner's Picks by the bed. There is essentially no reason to visit here.
Arvs-Drelen
Storage: 3 Chests, 2 Closets, 9 Crates, 5 Sacks, 1 Small Chest, 2 Tables
Occupant(s): Baladas Demnevanni, Ragash gra-Shuzgub, Shock Centurion, Rats, Skeletons
Description: See Arvs-Drelen for the complete article.
Dinadad Hut
Storage: 1 Closet, 1 Desk, 1 Drawers, 5 Sacks, 1 Small Chest, 2 Urns
Occupant(s): Vabbar Dinadad
Description: This is the middle of the three huts on the west side of town. It is the home of one Vabbar Dinadad, a farmer of no importance. There is very little of interest to be found here.
Lasamsi Cave Dwelling
Storage: 2 Barrels, 1 Chest, 1 Crate, 5 Sacks, 2 Urns
Occupant(s): None (Hainab Lasamsi can be found wandering outside.)
Description: This cave on the upper hillside (next to the tent) is the home of pants-thief Hainab Lasamsi. It has a 35 point lock, for which there is no key. The contents are meager, however, being limited mostly to cheap ingredients. Hainab keeps a Miner's Pick by his hammock.
Man-Ilu Hut
Storage: 4 Baskets, 1 Closet, 1 Drawers, 5 Sacks, 1 Small Chest, 2 Urns
Occupant(s): Nammu Man-llu
Description: This is the middle of the three huts behind the Temple. It is inhabited by Nammu Man-llu, a farm woman of little interest. It's possible that Maeonius Man-llu (found wandering outside) lives here as well, though there is only one bed and it's on the small side, so if he does live here, they're either very close, or somebody sleeps on the floor. The usual assortment of cheap ingredients and low-value items can be found here, though not much of worth.
Mantiti Cave Dwelling
Storage: 1 Barrel, 2 Baskets, 8 Sacks, 3 Urns
Occupant(s): Assumanu Mantiti
Description: This cave on the upper hillside is the home of Assumanu Mantiti, a Gnisis Eggmine worker. There is a second hammock here, so evidently she has a roommate or family member that lives here with her, though there's no way to tell who it might be. Assumanu evidently likes to take her work home with her, as there is a large quantity of Kwama Eggs here. There is little else of value here.
Shand Hut
Storage: 3 Baskets, 2 Chests, 7 Sacks, 1 Urn
Occupant(s): None (Abishpulu Shand can be found wandering outside.)
Description: This hut against the hill behind the Temple is the home of Abishpulu Shand, a Muck farmer who can be found working outside. The hut has a 30 point lock, and there is no key. Inside, you can find the Marksman skill book, The Black Arrow, Volume II, lying on the bed. There's not much else out of the ordinary, though you can find a potted Roobrush plant growing by the door.
Shishara Hut
Storage: 4 Baskets, 1 Chest, 1 Drawers, 6 Sacks, 1 Urn
Occupant(s): Hinammu Shishara
Description: This hut immediately behind the Temple is the home of an unimportant miner named Hinammu Shishara, and evidently one other person, as there is a second bed here, though it is impossible to know who it belongs to. There's not much of value here, though you can find two Cheap Restore Fatigue Potions on the shelves.
Tansumiran Cave Dwelling
Storage: 2 Baskets, 1 Chest, 1 Crate, 3 Sacks
Occupant(s): Ilasour Tansumiran
Description: This cave on the lower hillside belongs to Ilasour Tansumiran, an unemployed miner looking for work. Being without work, his cave is even more sparsely furnished than most. There is almost nothing here of any value.
Vabdas Hut
Storage: 9 Baskets, 3 Chests, 1 Closet, 2 Crates, 1 Desk, 10 Sacks. 1 Table, 1 Urn
Occupant(s): Shullay Vabdas, Widow Vabdas
Description: The widow and daughter of the late Mansilamat Vabdas reside in this hut just outside the west gate of the town. It is the largest of the homes in Gnisis, with the exception of Arvs-Drelen. General Darius of the Imperial Legion would like to lay claim to it, but there are certain issues to be cleared up first. Widow Vabdas' Land Deed can be found in a chest on top of some crates on the upper level. It's locked (40 points), and Shullay carries the key, but there are better ways of dealing with the problem. As for other items of interest, there aren't many, though storage is abundant, and there is a live Scathecraw plant growing here.
Yahaz Hut
Storage: 2 Barrels, 3 Baskets, 1 Chest, 1 Drawers, 8 Sacks, 1 Small Chest
Occupant(s): Musa Yahaz
Description: This hut near the silt strider is home to Musa Yahaz, a farm woman of no importance. There are various ingredients laying around, both in the open and in the various containers, and she has a potted Heather plant, but there's little else of value to be found here.
