That Skooma Trade Operation
Ok, so this section was started here. So um, well, this is tricky, at least it would be if Oghash gra-Magul didn't have her schedule documented. I never really understood this whole gang activity (I believed it was pure luck finding skooma in that barrel in the Waterfront, and it didn't respawn). Interesting stuff though, these are the little things that make the game alive, it could be interesting to document the whole procedure in a way. This time I'll get to be an undercover legion officer or something. I'll see what I can do when I get to it, as I'm really enjoying Oblivion now. I was on the way to Anvil for the Lex recommendation quest, but it was late when I arrived in Skingrad. So I rented a room in the two sisters inn after seeing Glarthir behind the chapel to see what he had to say. Only an hour in my bed, Captain Dion woke me up, but I had a bounty of 25 for reasons unknown, and of course I refused arrest. Next thing I know I'm near shadeleaf copse early in the morning with two dead legion officers and a bounty of 2025, I certainly put my character on the map. With OOO that certainly means something, as my character isn't gifted with melee skills just yet, I had to jump on a rock to shoot fireballs at them for hours. Now it makes sense when people say "Oh, it's you." (the cop-killer). Saving and reloading often, fast-travel and all that isn't the right way to play, it's cool that these things can happen (even if they were caused because of an oversight). Skyrim previews seem to indicate these things are very well possible, I can't wait. ~ Dwarfmp 17:25, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- To be honest, Oghash is one of the most impressive NPCs in the game - it is rarely seen, but the whole operation works (more or less) perfectly. I was mighty fascinated when I followed her around. Sadly, we never finished her schedule completely, but fact is that when she dismounts the horse, the Skooma spawns in the barrel. She will ONLY pick it up if there is nobody else around, though. Lots of testing to be done, but absolutely no reason not to document it in images. Like I said, Rpeh and I have discussed making an Orum Gang page for years, but we can't figure out if its a good idea. And I'm currently working on a redesign on the Walker Camp page, where I explain the camps role in the operation so that image is definetely needed. I recommend you check out the whole thing - it's fascinating stuff. :) And good to hear you're having fun - right now, I'm thinking about doing some quests as well (haven't done the Daedric Princes for ages), just to get a bit of feeling back. Maybe even make some better quest pages along the way, who knows? ;) --Krusty 17:57, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

- When would you be expecting results of me? Is there any hurry to this? I started some projects which I should really finish, you know how things are. You start working on this page, you take another project with it because you know you'll do it right, and before you know it, you have 8 sandboxes :P . What bothers me the most is mainly the Dark Seducer page and Sheogorath, I should get working on those, I miss spending time on the lessers NPC's too to be honest, looking up their inventory, adding the few bits of dialogue etc etc. I'm sure it's perfectly normal to stall things and take your time working on the wiki, only doing what you feel like doing, but I just feel I need to do this, as of now, people expect me to do it, so they won't start doing it themselves, while still I stall and stall. Ah well let's see how things flow, and hopefully I'll get some results soon. Also, truth is, I'm not quite excited to take the Oghash images, because I can't see me doing it, I don't have ideas about it because I wouldn't know what to expect, apart from maybe when she's on the bay horse in between the waterfront shacks. I haven't experienced it, so I don't feel familiar with it, you see. But it's stupid to refuse this request anyway, I'm here to help, and I certainly got the tools and talent to make the perfect shots, hah, sorry to ramble on, but I need to get this off my chest ~ Dwarfmp 15:22, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

- No worries - and definitely NO stress! It was merely a suggestion because I'd like to see this rare phenomenon documented at some point. As you may have noticed, I do exactly what I want to do myself (regardless of that load of To-Do-Stuff on my page), and that is the way it should be - no obligations and no sense of "having-to-do" stuff. If you get around to checking the Skooma Operation somewhere in time, then it's just great - I'm pretty sure you'll see some good images right away; if not, then it is no big deal. I'd much rather you enjoy working on the site and continue your great work on these really difficult pages than feel obliged because I made a suggestion. --Krusty 15:42, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Syl
Hey Dwarfmp! I have picked up the task of in-game check of your Syl-page. I may have a few questions along the way and it will be a long and tedious check, but SerCenKing and I kindda agreed to finish our entire Shivering-revamp before july, so I can do nothing but to throw myself into the action. I haven't done anything else (suddenly took an interest in the missing Herdir dialogue we once talked about), but you can follow the progress here if you're interested. Sheo page looks good, btw! --Krusty 23:16, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. I'll be available for questioning and the like. Thanks. Well let me know if there's anything I can do then, sorry you have to check all that though, but I guess it has to be done at some point. Good luck ~ Dwarfmp 23:23, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Oh and, while you're probably aware of it, you can check Thadon with Syl simultaneously, so you tested both of them up until his/her death, so that should be a lot of work done as well. Not that I'm implying you are to do that of course ~ Dwarfmp 23:29, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I thought about that too, but I have saves all over the quest line for Syl - and only half the quest line for Thadon. Therefore, I'll have to make them separate projects, although your idea is a good one. It CAN get a bit confusing checking two VIP NPCs at the same time, so for the sake of the pages, I better do one at a time. --Krusty 23:33, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I finished the Lady of Paranoia section of the Syl page in my Sandbox and included all necessary rumors. One thing puzzles me, though – as soon as you talk to Herdir, Syl seems to skip her 2pm cue and stays near her throne instead of going to the torture chamber. This is likely to make her easier to find (not that she is at all helpful) - OR, and this is pure guesswork, because she is programmed to seek out Herdir at 2pm before and after the quest. Whatever reason, this should be made clearer somewhere on the page (the sentence “She may be found wandering the hall of House Dementia, looking for someone to chat to.” Is not really helpful), but I was wondering if you could double-check the CS so we can get the facts straight? Thanks in advance! Oh, and the entire section screams for a few images…;) --Krusty 20:18, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

- Hm ok, I see that she wanders the torture chambers from 2pm to 6pm, but only if the Lady of Paranoia quest hasn't started, which means that her "wander near editor location at any time, any day, any month" kicks in, which pretty much explains your question. I used the phrase "looking for someone to chat to" cause I thought it was better than "wandering around doing jack sh**". Sorry I didn't notice that earlier, I should check that more thoroughly in the future. As for Lady of Paranoia pictures, yes absolutely, I can't see even why it is that I haven't even taken some... ~ Dwarfmp 20:30, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

- Wait, before I take any screenshots, what exactly would be needed? I thought taking one of Syl before pushing the button, but since that is to be placed on the bottom, it's a bit close to the next image of the double on the bed. Well just let me know ~ Dwarfmp 20:37, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

- Hmm, maybe Syl watching while Herdir tortures either Kithlan or Anya? AND Syl's execution of Murrine would be great - maybe if we push the last two sections "together" and make the thumb a "left" one, the layout can stay intact? Anyway, that was just a couple of suggestions - I'm not even sure it is possible. --Krusty 20:53, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

- Well I got some shots of Kithlan being tortured while he's sitting right next to Syl, not sure if you wanted it that way. Like the Modryn painting, it's a bit difficult to tell what's the best. My preference goes out to a shotwhere Herdir is JUST about to shoot something, charging magicka up in his hands, but you don't actually get to see a beam or anything, but I assumed you wanted a visual torturing, so... I'm not sure what to do ~ Dwarfmp 23:17, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

- Well, I'm not even sure "what I want", so you, as author, should just upload what works for you. I like the overall idea of torture going on, with Syl in the background, and it should not resemble the current quest image too much, so an image of him in front of Kithlan while charging is probably the best solution. As for the other image; just took a look at the execution last night, and I'm unsure if it is even possible to make a good shot of Muurine's death, but; Syl in the foreground, hand on the button, Muurine gets hit by the beam. At least that's what I imagined... --Krusty 06:33, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- REALLY nice image, that one! I have a question, though - I can't seem to trigger any dialogue with Syl near the fountain, no matter how much I charm her (and I use Sneak at all times anyway) - did you ever manage to make that happen? And will Haskill have any more interesting stuff to say during the quests? Right now, all I need to check is Adeo and friends, then I'll return the page with ALL dialogue and rumors checked. I'll hand you a Writtenby-thingy to the rumors-section, so we can get it checked right away. --Krusty 13:43, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

(←) I believe it has to do with the fact she attacked you right away, or starts saying a speech first. I used 100% chameleon, and talked to her, which is when I discovered that bug too. Haskill's only mention of her, at least during the last quest, is I believe something like: "You still have a pool to cleanse and a traitor to get rid of", but nothing specifically about her. This is why I wanted to work on Haskill, since all these dialogue lines just seem to overlap, this guy mentions him, the other guy too... Ah the fun of documenting. I'll see to that execution shot, shouldn't be too difficult as I think about it, let's see if it actually works the way I think it will. ~ Dwarfmp 13:49, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Cool! As a matter of fact, I remember triggering that dialogue as well; problem is, I can't trigger it now, for whatever reason. I'll run some more tests later on (I guess we'll also have to look through Haskill just to make the page as complete as we can), but I'm incredibly happy with the page now, so after another run through The Helpless Army, I'll declare dialogue and rumors as checked. With or without Haskill. :) --Krusty 13:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

- Oh right, I thought I had included that, but also the line in my Jyggalag Sandbox "I suspect the traitor Syl, ..."~ Dwarfmp 13:52, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

- Ok now I see what you meant. When she pushes the button, she moves away, and the lightning beam won't show up immediately... So I can't get those two things in one shot. What do you suggest? ~ Dwarfmp 16:10, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Gah, I can see what you mean. Well, then - only thing to do would be a shot behind Syl's left shoulder as he watches Muurine die? Otherwise, we'll just have to skip the image, although I think it would look good on the quest page as well. Btw, I added all relevant dialogue from Haskill, so I consider Syl's page as finished on my part. Annoyingly, I can't check her schedule (her quarters are always locked and when you get the key she is gone) nor her inventory - but the dialogue is all a-okay now, and that was the goal. :) --Krusty 16:26, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

SI Redesign Project
Hey there, I just wanted to let you know that following the re-organization of the SI revamp project I did here I've put you down as a potential Task Leader for the "Generic and VIP NPCs" section. Let me know if you have any problems with that or questions. Cheers. --SerCenKing Talk 14:07, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Woa hey, since when am I heavyweight? Sure I created a featured article with all the Golden Saint stats, dialogue, ... but that doesn't mean I'm this super kind of.. guy! Heh, well I was going to work on things like that anyway, so I guess that makes sense. Oh and good to see you back by the way. ~ Dwarfmp 15:07, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Haha having done the marauder, vampire etc pages for Oblivion I know what generic NPC pages are like, but Golden Saint just took it to another level :D It feels good to be back and it's good to have you on board. Just a question: I'm a bit confused as to whether you or AKB has written the Sheogorath page as I've seen it in your sandbox. --SerCenKing Talk 16:39, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Technically, we both wrote it, just at different times as we were entirely unaware of the others efforts until I spent a few hours re-writing information already on the wiki. I finished my version first though so I got the write credit. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:51, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I started working on Sheogorath soon after having finished the Golden Saint page. During my progress I've had a break from the wiki, for about a month or so. In the meantime I suppose AKB had started working on Sheogorath, unknowing that I'd started working on him. Pretty awkward when he launched his version, which was around the time I sort of got back. He suggested to fuse the end results, with which I agreed since I was going to suggest that anyway. While most of the work in my sandbox is done now, I still need to work on Jyggalag, and I'm very likely to work on Haskill, to... perfect things. It's hard to capture the true essence, and I'm not great at finding the right words to represent it, so I propose to start a talk page in my sandbox to discuss the Sheogorath page, so we can create the right results. I asked AKB to check out my sandbox and start that talk page to say what he likes and dislikes, but anyone is free to do so as well, that's the plan, that people could vote in a way. ~ Dwarfmp 17:02, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

- I see you started on Haskill, that's no problem of course, that way I'll have less on my plate so to speak. I think he is about just as 'difficult' as Sheogorath, as he is in fact the backbone of the whole questline. I might be even able to help out, not that I want to meddle with your work, I'd just came up with some small stuff like, in particular, the mention that Haskill doesn't seem mad at all unlike the other residents, I thought of adding: "The only madness visible is the fact that a man of such intelligence serves the Madgod" or something like that, I think you sort of get my point with that, I just can't find the right words yet... Umm anyway, I've replied to the first comments you made on the Sheogorath page so be sure to take that into account when we really start to work out our ideas. Ok so I'll probably get to working on Jyggalag soon, and we'll see what happens from there. And the new WIP template... the thing we need ~ Dwarfmp 18:05, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

- Yeah, the fire made my colour correction tool go nuts ;) I don't recall calling it "childlike" but I like the new version, although you honestly didn't have to bother. If I can annoy you even further, the NPC image here (I can't seem to link the image itself - for some reason I can't load the page) is also too dark to display nicely. It would be great if you could look into it. Also, I've emailed you a few of NPC shots Krusty wanted taken.. Let's get to work ;) --SerCenKing Talk 10:14, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

- As much of a perfectionist I am, I don't always take good pictures, and those would include Hirrus. I couldn't get the colors right etc. without making it look unnatural. Maybe I should just take another, cause there is a shot on his page with him on the ledge now anyway. That stuff you sent me, is that some excel sort of thing again? I don't think I can open it again, like last time, and you had to change the file type for me to get it to work. Here's a challenge!
Ah, well - here's an idea I think you will like; I revamped the page for suicidal Hirrus Clutumnus and had an idea for a brilliant action shot - but I need to know if it is even possible. I'm thinking about a shot of him falling after you pushed him. Taken from the ledge! Of course, he will be falling so you will have about half a second to get it done, and I guess it is important that he is as close to the camera as possible, so we can recognize him. Good thing is, he is facing you while he is falling, so I really think it would be a brilliant shot for his page! --Krusty 18:16, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- As a suggestion, I think the flailing motion he makes when pushed would be a lot better looking and easier to take than him during his fall. Legoless 18:20, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
-
- This is difficult indeed, the falling would actually be easier, sort of. I mean, I can pull it off, but I just need to find out where I got to put the camera, cause he lifts up before he falls down. But it's just a matter of time, I'm just trying to get him in full, and not in a distance. ~ Dwarfmp 19:43, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
-
-
- How is this? Problem is, he always looks dead already right when you push him... ~ Dwarfmp 20:01, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- I like it! Too bad that he doesn't look into the camera, but he IS probably dead at that point. Übercool - just find a spot on the page and add it, maybe with his final line as imgdesc? Thanks a lot! :) --Krusty 20:09, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

New Image Wanted page
Hey D! Just wanted to point your attention towards this page. It will grow tremendously in the next couple of days, so I thought I'd give you the heads up. --Krusty 23:25, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah good thing to show me. I can easily do some of them (like the Wide-Eye screenshots and the Aurmazl/Autkendo End of Order shots). Don't know when I'll get to it though, I'm playing new games from the psn welcome back package, and it's quite fun indeed. Not that the image taking takes up a lot of time... Image Request
Hey there Dwarfmp. Krusty mentioned that you had taken a number of action shots of Sheogorath; I was wondering if you might have one stashed away of him clapping on his throne as you approach at the end of Through the Fringe of Madness? If so, that would be fantastic on the page for the following quest, and if not, would you be willing to get one? Dlarsh(T,C) 18:18, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
- Um I can take one, sure. I do remember though, I took a shot of him clapping from when he was in the Sacellum, and it was surprisingly hard to find one that looked decent. Well you know, his clapping doesn't look like clapping in a picture. But I'll see to it then. ~ Dwarfmp 18:23, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

I will destroy The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages and avenge your reverted vandalism, dear mother! I've been a part of their "family" for so long it's a part of me, whether I like it or not. And in all that time I've fooled them all. They see me as a fellow editor of the pages, a trusted patroller... What? Um... Sorry, Patroller... I'm... distracted... ~ Dwarfmp 22:06, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Seriously though, thanks for all the support, that has to mean something, definitely since I had no opposes! Since I check the recent changes page a lot, I probably will be quite useful. This is pretty much as high as one can climb here, right? I mean I don't see myself becoming an administrator since I don't have any outstanding skills in that area. Also, since I've already sort of gone through that infamous "inactivity spree", I don't think there's much to worry about that. - Blockers have the same set of tools available to them when dealing with their own account as they do when dealing with any other account; it's quite easy to hit the wrong link, and if you aren't careful, carry out a block on yourself (I know, as I've come perilously close to doing the same thing myself :P) Dlarsh(T,C) 15:00, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

- Strange that it is actually possible. Didn't know I could only block for maximum "14400 seconds", while the whole list was there, which added to the confusion. Hah, I told you I'd make a name for myself! At least I performed funny vandalism, as opposed to the vandal saying "BLABLABLA" on my talk page. I've seen tons of funnier vandalism... Did myself a favor in the end, I was still up and it was 7am. Anyway, despite this crazy incident, it's pretty clear that me having block rights seems required, since no-one else was around at the time, ironically. ~ Dwarfmp 16:03, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

- I'm pretty sure you won't be doing this again, but for future reference, if anyone with blockuser rights is blocked, they are still permitted to undo the block (at least if they applied it to themselves). To revert a block, go to the blockuser page and enter the account name you want to unblock. There should be a notice that the account is already blocked, and under the section where you specify how long and for what reason, there's an option to "Unblock <user>;" select that and confirm your choice, and you're good to go. Images
Hi.
I was wondering, may I upload an image that isn't Elder Scrolls related? Like a picture of myself, for the sake of my User page?

- Yes, you may upload images specifically for your userpage (as long as it doesn't contain any obscenities or similar, obviously) ~ Dwarfmp 04:35, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Ghastly Ghost Images?
Hey Dwarfmp! We have seen what you can do with normal NPCs – but what about GHOSTS? As I’m revamping the entire lineup from Vitharn these days, I’d like to ask if you could find the time and take some snapshots of the ghostly inhabitants?
- New square image for all six named ghosts, in higher res and better poses.
- 4:3 action images of the three named ghosts on the battlefield Hloval, Althel and Desideratus AFTER you have solved their problem – Hloval firing a spell, Althel firing an arrow, Desideratus whining or battling a Fanatic.
- Take a look on the quest page – can the images get more…. “moody”? Especially the introductory shot is plain wrong – it should be raining in Vitharn!
- Also, a square image of the 4th (the one stationed near the southern gate to the Reservoir) Vitharn Ghost Soldier for an upcoming NPC page.
No rush or anything – but I really like this quest and the entire mood of Vitharn, so I figured a makeover would be appropriate. Let me know if you don’t want to do it, then I’ll just add it to the Images Wanted page instead. All the best! --Krusty 09:08, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- No rush is good, because this is, ironically, one of the few quests I haven't completed, heck, the furthest I got is simply arriving at the place while I was heading that direction and got a quest popup, never entered the place... So perhaps I should just check it out as I play? Needless to say, that would take a while I'm afraid, I wouldn't want to ruin the experience by just rushing to it. You could therefore choose to add it to the IW page, if it needs to be handled sooner ~ Dwarfmp 09:20, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Whoah, didn't see that coming! :D Images or not, you should go down there - It's lovely in Vitharn right now. - and the quest is brilliant. --Krusty 09:35, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah it's a shame, but I had been playing Oblivion without SI for a while, back when everything was still new. And I haven't played in the SI all that much actually, I always feel compelled to help out Sheogorath with his MQ (the only thing that the 4th game in the series does incredibly wrong, MQ being too important to ignore if you play realistically). In fact, I was on the way to Pinnacle Rock when I discovered this quest, so I had no time to mess around some other place while it was under attack you see ~ Dwarfmp 09:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- I see I may have run into a little problem, you see, if the Sheogorath page is to be completed, I would need to add conversation of this particular quests, as he is mentioned, but looking all that up may ruin the experience... hm. I've got more issues on the page as well, you should check out the sandbox talk page if you got time ~ Dwarfmp 11:43, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- All information/dialogue related to Sheo (and there's not much) will turn up on the Ghost pages, but if you read through Lore:Vitharn, you will at least get an idea of the background. Let me know, and I'll compile all Sheo-related dialogue from the Ghosts. I have it all written down anyway. :) --Krusty 08:18, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, if you can add it after I've finished, that would be swell ~ Dwarfmp 08:39, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Jyggalag
I was wondering if you were near finished with Jyggalag. If not, I can try to finish it up for you. Was there anything else you wanted done with it? Elliot (talk) 15:39, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well it's near finished. I know it needs a mention of the sword you get after the related quest, as was in the original text. I don't like the screenshot I took of his head giving the speech, too light, so I was probably going to replace that. But the real reason I'm keeping things pretty much the way they are now, is because I may find new related dialogue or similar that have to be added, as I'm working on Sheogorath, so it's possible that's the case (I haven't been active the last few days, but I'm sure I'll get to working on things don't worry). Feel free to give any suggestions though, it may just improve the page some more ~ Dwarfmp 00:11, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Xaselm.... Again?
Hey Dwarfmp, and congratulations on your second nom for FA. Nice work! Don't worry 'bout the Sheo article, it will probably take a long time before it is finished (I'll have to check everything as well), so it will get its time. Quick question, just to prepare: Would you be willing to make your way into Xaselm (for the second time) for a whole slew of sadistic, timed shots? I'm asking before "listing", just to make sure you have the time. --Krusty 23:33, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Um sure, I still have the saves so that shouldn't be a problem. What would you have in mind? ~ Dwarfmp 23:37, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- TORTURE, and lots of it! I'm still working on the page and I'd rather give you a complete list when I have everything "down", just to save time and avoid making you shoot images that end in the bin. I'll return with the requests as quickly as possible. For a bit of inspiration, check out this unfinished section. And yup, this time I'll go for FA-material on a place page! :D --
- Ah I see. Tricky. Shouldn't be a problem. That will look quite nice I'm sure. Um I guess in the meantime I can work on Sheogorath/Jyggalag, ahem, let's hope I actually do ~ Dwarfmp 23:48, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I’m done with the first draft of the Xaselm page – sadly, I didn’t get the “general view” I was hoping for, but hopefully we can solve this together. The complete trip to hell can be found in my Sandbox HERE.

- First of all, I’d recommend reading through most of it, just to get a feel for the “project”, especially this section – this is the most important one, so let’s start with that. Please review the quality of the existing images from the chambers. Can they get any better? Also, it is obvious that both images for the Hunger vs. Shambles section needs to be retaken. One of the upstairs room with the buttons, one showcasing the action downstairs. The Reptilian Appetite Conditioning section needs an image. Relmyna’s Torture chamber needs another image as well – or even four images, so we can finish the page with a “gallery” at the bottom. For the latter, it is important to document the damage done by the player, not by good ol’ Relmyna.

- The OPRP part of the page could use another image from the Experiment Chambers, and another image from the Sanctum of Vivisection, simply to fill out the walls of content. Lastly, a new and improved image of the backdoor entrance would be great!

-
-
- I have uploaded all images with the same names (e.g. File:SI-place-Xaselm-04.jpg) and I’ve uploaded eleven images so far, so you should start with “12”. I’ll rename them when everything is said and done. Hopefully, the above description is understandable – otherwise, I can quickly write a list of what I have in mind. Thanks in advance! Oh, and while you are there: Nanette! :D --Krusty 17:30, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- EDIT: I really think the image of Relmyna's quarters should be the other way 'round, so we can see the other end of the room - then spice it up with an image of her Dead Hound. That was one more, I know... :) --Krusty 17:52, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

- I made quite some small changes to your sandbox if you don't mind. I don't get the last part of this sentence: "This section covers all the experiments you can actively participate in, along with extracts Relmyna’s scribblings, if possible." Also, in the summaries of the zones summing up all the items etc., it says "Darts traps", while in the experiment texts it says "Dart traps". All of the images look a bit... grainy to me or something. But I'd be happy to retake all of them etc., not a problem. ~ Dwarfmp 19:55, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh and also "reviving her mercifully" would need something more, like quotation marks, because it obviously isn't merciful to revive people to torture them. ~ Dwarfmp 20:03, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks for the corrections – like I said, it was only a draft. I’ll look into the (honestly) odd-sounding sentences you mentioned. As for the images, and evident by my suggestions above, you are free to replace/add/fix whatever you want. Problem with a page like this is that the content sections are so incredibly long that we simply need images to make the page appealing – and, for the first time ever, I felt it necessary with a separate section on the experiments, as integrating them into the walkthroughs would make the page blow up. Anyway, I’ll tweak and turn a bit – good luck with the images! Oh, and you really should ask Rpeh about that “incident” of yours – maybe he knows something. ;) --Krusty 20:29, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

- I was just about to upload an image of Hunger vs Shambles when I read that it's supposed to be 2 Shambles vs 1 Hunger, but my picture contains a Hunger, a Shambles and a Skinned hound... What happened here? ~ Dwarfmp 21:08, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, I see a dead Shambles in a corner of one of the cells on that picture, so somehow a skinned hound made it down there... Damn, it was a cool shot! Ah well ~ Dwarfmp 21:11, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I found all the awkward "Darts Traps" in the content lists - never noticed them before. Couldn't find the "reviving her mercifully"-thing, but just remove it if you're in there at some point. Looking forward to more images! :) --Krusty 22:54, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

(←) After two days of being tortured by these f****** not willing to get into the right position, I think I've managed a decent shot at least: File:SI-place-Xaselm 12.jpg
However, I have a different shot, and it may be better, but I don't know, this was not what I had in mind when I was trying to take the right shot, but I've uploaded is so you can decide: :File:SI-place-Xaselm Alternate.jpg
NO WAY I'm going to try more, I've had it and it has pissed me off a LOT (I even broke my mouse, used duct tape to hold it together now). But I'm sure one of these will do. Anyway, the other shots shouldn't take as long, I surely hope not... ~ Dwarfmp 11:20, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Haha, please don't get a nervous breakdown - and go easy on the poor mouse! Remember that the page is just floating around in my Sandbox, so we have plenty of time. If you get tired of Xaselm (and I DO realize it is a hard task!!!), just take a break and do something else. Your images are incredible, but take your time and have fun. :) Both uploded images are really great and I have a hard time deciding which one is the best. We'll have to see how they look as thumbnails, I guess. Thanks for the effort so far! --Krusty 12:24, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
-
- Pretty much covered them all now. Any thoughts yet? I'll have to check Nanette's schedule, see when she does what in Xaselm, if I want to make those shots requested ~ Dwarfmp 14:55, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh and don't we need a Corpse Pit shot? ~ Dwarfmp 14:58, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Looks beautiful! I added the images (with some rather uninventive captions for good measure) and the page shows class. Another image from the Relmyna's Torture Chamber would be great (how about the Bosmer Victim falling down?) - and yup, agreed; the Corpse Pit looks a bit empty. Maybe a shot of a rising experiment from the body-filled waters near B?
-
-
- Also, I'm split on the Relmyna square image. I wanted to somehow "separate" the experiment section from the rest, but I'm unsure if it works. What do you think? Oh, and I tried one of the two Hunger vs. Shambles images. Split on that as well.... Otherwise, with the two remaining images, page is good to go! --Krusty 15:35, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

- Rising experiments sounds deceptively interesting for a shot. Problem is that they all get up together, so it just looks like they're crouching or something. If one would run up to attack you while another is getting up, that would've been good. I'll see what I can do about that. For the Relmyna image, maybe you should use another than her intro image ~ Dwarfmp 16:03, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

-
- Ok now I've uploaded those needed pictures. I couldn't do any better with that falling Bosmer, as he's never quite in the middle, and rarely still alive and... well in an interesting pose. About Nanette, when does she ever talk to Relmyna? Let alone in the torture chamber. I uploaded a potion making shot, and for another picture needed, why not this one? ~ Dwarfmp 16:51, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

- Ah, nice! Really great images from Xaselm. I'll put them on the page in a minute and then start renaming the whole bunch. For the Hound vs Shambles, I think I'll go with the first one (the one not called "alternative"). My only reason is that it is darker than the other one and fits the dark style of the place page better. I'll not delete the alternative version though - its good enough to keep for later use, and I don't want your maouse to have died in vain.

- As for Nanette, she will eventually make her way into Xaselm (or Relmyna will meet her when she heads down to the Sheo statue for a prayer between experiements. Reason I don't use the reading image is that it is from Passwall - and because I'd really like an image of the Sorcerer and Apprentice together. I have seen them talk countless times, so if you wait around for a while it will happen. Good luck and thank you once again - I promise I'll leave you alone now. - I haven't read through it, assuming you haven't changed a lot of text. Well um, the centered Relmyna image and the exterior section look a bit... off, but I suppose there's nothing you can do about that. I improved some captions, but I'm not that witty, or at least not in this case, maybe they can be improved as well. ~ Dwarfmp 18:58, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- I have not changed anything in the main body of text - and the new captions are way better. And on second thought, I'll leave the current image names alone for now. Ready for launch. Now, cheese for everyone - including that mouse of yours!

Daedric Images
Hey Dwarfmp! I can see you are all over the Daedric shrines at the moment, so I just though I'd link you to an old idea rpeh and I discussed a while back: LINK. It's probably too late, but it's my attempt to solve that odd cleanup-description on the Task List. --Krusty 07:47, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry, I hadn't noticed that thread. I don't get that "shine" you talk about at night. My idea was to um, well get different times of the day, e.a. Nocturnal HAS to be at night of course, but I don't see any "shine" there, see? I tried Sheogorath when it was raining (cause it is said he likes rain), but it didn't look as good as a sunny noon. Not too late though, never. Just tell me what you think would be the right thing to do here ~ Dwarfmp 07:56, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- So basically what I had in mind was something like this:
-
- Nocturnal: Night
- Azura: Dusk or Dawn
- Mephala: Night
- ...
- I don't have any other specific ideas on the others so, I just thought noon would give the best quality. Maybe some look better at night, I don't know, I guess it depends ~ Dwarfmp 08:14, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
-
- (edit conflict) No problem. It was merely an attempt to give the spooky princes some kind of uniqueness about them. Looking at Peryite now, the time is exactly 5am - lighting a torch gives it a bit of glow and there's a visible moon in the sky behind the statue. Looks best in frog perspective, of course - and a bit more scary. For this idea to work, though, it is very important to use the wait feature all through a crystal clear night, just to see if you get a moon or other interesting stuff on the sky. Also, check out the sky behind Azura at 2am - incredible!!! :) --Krusty 08:20, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- I refrain from using torches lately, because I want to get a natural picture as much as possible. I've also reinstalled Oblivion to get all the original stuff back I replaced, so taking images should be a lot easier (no regal IC!). Do console commands not affect the sky's clarity/lighting? I mean I use the clear weather command at noon, are there still differences between each night when it comes to stars and such? Anyway, what do you think of my idea? Should each Prince get their own time of day or do you think it's best for all of them to be taken at night? ~ Dwarfmp 08:36, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- As for console commands, I don't really know... Also, I'm no expert on constellations, so the sky may differ somewhat depending on month? As for your idea, it is a good one but I'll just add the thought that the statues look more "majestic" in frog perspective - and using the sky and planets to create perspective makes them appear "godly". Nevertheless, I also realize the difficulty in getting a crystal clear night behind Hermaeus Mora - but just for the fun, see if you can experience the night behind Azura. :) --Krusty 08:50, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- So frog as in.. from below? Well I have to admit that I can't say what looks best. I mean, sure from below they look all big and mighty, but eye to eye, you see what they look like the best, you know. Hm. Well should I replace the ones I've uploaded with this frog perspective then? And try at night? For now I'll just take some shots and try out what you advised, see how it looks and all that ~ Dwarfmp 08:57, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Haha, didn't mean to cause confusion and second thoughts. I just remembered that old discussion, so I thought I'd share it. I can't really do images anyway, so I really have no idea how it is done - you do, so just solve it the way you think it works best. Back to Xaselm with me! --Krusty 09:00, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

And try at night? For now I'll just take some shots and try out what you advised, see how it looks and all that ~ Dwarfmp 08:57, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

(←) So I uploaded a Malacath one, one from during the night. I edited it heavily, which I normally wouldn't do because it's not natural anymore, but I gave it some sort of shine (a planet or moon was actually on his left in the sky, and it looked better, but some darn tree was in the way, so I took it from the left rather than the right). What do you think of this? Should I edit them like this or should I keep them more natural? ~ Dwarfmp 09:16, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
I uploaded the original screenshot (in jpg) just to show you how much I've edited it. So you see that's far from natural. Well you can delete it once you've seen it. I just wonder though... Is this the way images should be edited? Should I really go for the best possible looks or should I try to keep things as original as possible? There's been quite some debate over that hasn't there? ~ Dwarfmp 09:30, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Love it! I just took a look and I can see what you mean about that annoying tree. As for a bit of "natural" manipulation; don't worry too much about it. Malacath (and the other shrines) has a natural bit of lighting coming from absolutely nowhere and accentuating it is not really cheating; that's just us making it look slightly better, without compromising what was intended. --Krusty 09:31, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Great work! With a few exceptions, all of them contains night shots and looks "dark" and more... dare I say.... harmonized! In the very near future, I'm going to start renaming them to the proper quest-names - and will then upload all the old ones with the "old" name, as I realize that a lot of Userboxes now looks a bit too dark for their own good. --Krusty 13:46, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey D! After a really big cleanup of filenames and the like, everything should be okay by now. I love the night shot images of the Shrines for the quest pages – really adds a cool atmosphere to the gods. A few final requests when you get the time:
- The shot of Clavicus Vile could use just a bit more moonlight – compared to the others it feels a bit “flat”.
- Meridia and Sheogorath could use some night time shots for consistency – if possible.
- All in all, another pile of brilliant image-work from you! Thanks! --Krusty 19:50, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

- Yeah I wasn't happy with the Clavicus Vile one. It's difficult because unlike all other shrines, it is more plain, like it's made of wax or something. Also, the angle is difficult because of an ayleid ruin right behind it. I'll get to that tomorrow or so (I forgot Hircine hehe). So I see you've made square daylight versions for them, for userboxes I suppose, or they could be used for the lore pages. Perhaps I could also take those daylight shots of the shrines, with the angle I've been trying first, face to face, so you can see the statue better. That would be perfect I think, quest shots from the frog perspective, as it is as you play, and then face to face for the lore so you can see the statue clearly. ~ Dwarfmp 20:14, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- You're right, it looks like Clavicus is made of wax, so I can see the problem. Don't sweat over it, I just noticed that it was somewhat different than the others. As for the Lore pages and Userboxes, everything should be correctly named (even if I did manage to clog up the Recent Changes quite a bit due to some silly mistakes) and I added cleanup tags to the square images in desperate need of new daylight versions in higher resolution. While a lot of the daylight images are good in their current versions, you are always welcome to take a stab at making them better - as long as they work on both Lore and Userboxes. Good luck! --Krusty 20:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just noticed something: we desperately need a square, daylight version of Peryite. As of now, the Lore page is empty, due to lack of images, even old ones. You should upload it with the name File:OB-Img-ShrineofPeryite.JPG - that way, everything should be okay. --Krusty 23:06, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

- I just noticed something REALLY odd. I took some other screenshots of Nocturnal, because the sky and the colors on the current one are a bit off. Now the new screenshots have a crappier statue, I noticed because you couldn't see much form in the face, the hands are thinner, etc. How did that happen? Maybe that happened to my Clavicus Vile? I don't understand this... ~ Dwarfmp 08:55, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, can’t help you there – maybe Rpeh knows something, but my guess is that the weather can interfere with the appearance and lighting? Just a guess, though! --Krusty 09:18, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- I tried fooling around and uploaded [[:File:OB-quest-Clavicus_Vile_example.jpg|this example]]. It is quite hard to get just a tiny bit of detail in the wax...--Krusty 00:53, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

(←) Cool, how'd you pull that off? Much better ~ Dwarfmp 07:40, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- I made a few layers, then forced the details to appear with a bit of violence. Nothing serious, though! I've uploaded the new version with the correct name. --Krusty 10:14, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Mages Guild
Hello Dwarfmp. As you may or may not no I am working on the Mages Guild and in particular Hannibal Traven and Raminus Polus. I need photos to run alongside the quest related dialogue much like Modryn Oreyn's page and AKB recommended you as being a good photographer. Let me no if you are available. Thanks. --Manic 14:10, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Um, I'm currently expected to upload a good number of Xaselm pics, so I will be doing that first. But sure I'll take some shots, you could perhaps think of some particular shots you're expecting to see, and you can list those here if you want ~ Dwarfmp 20:45, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Xaselm Test Subject
Hi Dwarfmp! Since you're already working on pictures for Xaselm, I thought you might be interested in replacing this image of the dead female test subject. The current one uses a body mod. Hope it's not too much trouble. --Legoless 15:02, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Done ~ Dwarfmp 15:24, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Quick question
Hey Dwarfmp. I am in the process of revamping Wide-Eye right now here, so I was wondering - do you, by any chance, have an image of her dining with Gundlar and Thadon - without Thadon's heart attack? --Krusty 20:36, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- I pretty much have saves throughout the whole SI main quest (Mania and Dementia), so I can easily take one ~ Dwarfmp 23:19, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I just need an image of her close to Thadon and I figured a dinner-thing would be easiest. If dinner seems boring, a nice shot can be taken in the Conservatory (Wide-Eye reading in the foreground, Thadon painting in the background), but that will require a new square image. You decide. Thanks! :) --Krusty 23:36, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
My post on Janus Hassildor's page
Hello, as I am sure you know I am a new user, and well, I reposted as I wished to know who was deleting my contribution so we could discuss it, I meant no offense. I am very sorry if I caused any. The post was saying if you have Hal-Liurz call on the count and go into an Oblivion gate the count will join you in Oblivion. Would you please confirm this in your own game so that you could vouch for me as a more experienced contributor? (XavierLessetti 09:57, 3 August 2011 (UTC))
- im the one who reverted it it is possible but its just not the sort of notes we have on our pages (From Fear to Eternity- Eddie The Head 10:01, 3 August 2011 (UTC))
Athragar
Hello, I am having trouble purchasing spells from Athragar, and I was wondering if you had any information as to why this is happening? (XavierLessetti 10:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC))
- Ah, I just noticed there was already a talk about this that resolved my problem, sorry for taking up your page space (XavierLessetti 10:42, 3 August 2011 (UTC))
- That's ok, try to check everything out before you ask the question though. I'm going to archive my talk page now anyway, so no worries there ~ Dwarfmp 10:48, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
