Alchemy description: Blocking absorbs <mag>% more damage for <dur> seconds.
Enchanting description: Block <mag>% more damage with your shield.
Fortify Block grants damage reduction while blocking.
The damage reduction cap is 80%, so having a ring and amulet with 40% block (a total of 80%) will produce the same amount of damage reduction as having a shield, ring, and amulet with 40% block (a total of 120%) because you cannot reduce damage by more than 80%.
