The Orrery is an official plug-in that adds a quest to repair the Arcane University's Orrery.
- The Orrery Pack for Oblivion allows you to help the Mages Guild of Cyrodiil repair the Imperial Orrery, an ancient dwarven machine with mystical properties. Bandits have stolen a shipment of parts destined for the Arcane University; if you can return them, the Orrery will function once more. —Official Summary
Using The Orrery
The Orrery supplies the character with a greater power, determined by the phase of the moon. The phase of the moon can be determined by looking at the Orrery's console. The same can not be said of the actual in-game moon.(See bugs for details.)
When activated, the greater power will add 20 points to one attribute, whilst subtracting 20 from another. The effect always lasts 60 seconds. As with all other greater powers, they cost 0 magicka, and only can be cast once per day. You can only have one of the Orrery's powers at a time, and if you activate the Orrery while you already have one of the greater powers, it will be replaced by the new one. Below is a list of the powers that can be granted by the Orrery, and when they occur:

Bugs
- Bothiel will refer to the Orrery as being in "a state of disrepair" in the Necromancer's Moon Mages Guild quest even after it has been repaired.
This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion DLC Patches.
- The moon phases shown at the Orrery's console are, unfortunately, not the same as the actual phases of the moons visible in the night sky (when it's not a cloudy night).
