Hello to the wiki
Hello everyone that is part of this wiki and visiting to learn more about The Elder Scrolls games. This series of games is one of the best I have played, and has made me love RPG's again. I am also a big fan of FFXI online and some ofthe FFXI series. I am part of the FFXIclopedia wiki as well.
I am trying to help revise this wiki with others to make it clearly the best source for the games. A place gamers can come to get the best information available. I often update from my tablet PC which can be a pain to type on so I often have to revise more often. However I can do it while outsde by the pool on a warm summers day.
I am playing much of the Shimmering Isles expansion through as I add on to the wiki. I look for key things, as well as reported bugs or problems to see if I can repeat and trouble shoot them. Then I add to the wiki a more detailed walkthrough without making it to large. I would liek to add photos of key areas s well, but worry about keeping the size of the walkthough small so it loads fast.
Great work on the site everyone. I was a litle concerned about a post at the xbox.com forums where 1 user claims he wrote all the Shimmering islands walkthrough. After seeing how many other contributed I knew this wasn't true. MAny have put in a gret effot to make this wiki great.
What I plan to do at this wiki
I plan to help revise certain areas of the wiki, add in bullted and key note boxed areas to sectiosn that haven't had much time to be worked on. To do that I will be playing through the game and adding details as I progress. This will allow users to have a more detailed desciption of areas in the game. This includes:
- Detailed area desciptions in the games as well as routes to areas.
- Locations of treasures and MAtrix patterns found in the game.
- tips on best compelting the quest and subquests.
- bugs or issues with quests and how they are caused or what triggers them.
I would like to add small photo's of key areas in some of the shimmering isle areas. However I play on the Xbox 360 version, which doesn't make screen shots as easy, SInce I output in HDTV I will need to hook up other cable to output to a capture system on one of the PC's. If anyone else can take shots to revise the wiki, it would make it look great.

I enjoy games of many types. I used to be a big fan of first person shooters, but also liked soem RPG's. When I started playing RPG's they were all text based, we didn't have graphics yet. I come from the orginal Dungeons and Dragons era (withotu revealing my age). Tet based RPG's semed natural to me.
I came back to RPG's and The elder Scrolls series made me enjoy it even more. I also liek MMORPH's and played WOW, Everquest, FFXI online, and others. I prefer FFXI story lines and the many quests available. Probably due to the text based NPC interface. On FFXI I have more then one charater, several level 75 jobs, and have worked on the ffxiclopedia.
