The Roadside Ruins

Roadside Ruins is an ancient Nordic shelter retaken by nature. It is located just northwest of Falkreath and is home to Spriggans.

The site is a dome-shaped, stone structure formed by two concentric circles. A spriggan is wandering in the innermost circle. Climbing to the top of the ruin offers an elevated view and easy access to the center and the spriggan. The corpses of two bandits can be found at the entrance to the outer circle on the southeast side. Two samples of bleeding crown are growing in the outer circle, but little else. Windows around the perimeter of the inner wall offer a view of the overgrown atrium in the center and an opportunity for a ranged attack on the spriggan. The entry to the inner circle is on the north side of the inner wall. Despite all of the flora, the only alchemically useful specimens are three purple mountain flower plants and five samples of hanging moss. A chest is directly across from the inner entrance on the southeast wall. A copy of the Enchantment skill book Catalogue of Weapon Enchantments is propped against the front of the chest as well.
