The [[Skyrim:Armor of the Old Gods|Armor of the Old Gods]] is a special version of [[Skyrim:Forsworn Armor|Forsworn Armor]] given to you by [[Skyrim:Kaie|Kaie]] for helping the leader of the [[Skyrim:Forsworn|Forsworn]], [[Skyrim:Madanach|Madanach]], [[Skyrim:No One Escapes Cidhna Mine|escape Cidhna Mine]]. Alongside the chest piece, this armor set also includes a pair of [[Skyrim:Boots of the Old Gods|boots]], [[Skyrim:Gauntlets of the Old Gods|gauntlets]], and a [[Skyrim:Helmet of the Old Gods|helmet]]. This item shares its appearance with basic forsworn equipment, weighs half as much, offers two fewer points of armor, and is worth a considerable more amount of gold. The Armor of the Old Gods has also been enchanted to [[Skyrim:Fortify Destruction|fortify destruction]] spells by fifteen points. [[Skyrim:Workbench|Tempering]] this item requires a piece of [[Skyrim:Leather|leather]] and the [[Skyrim:Arcane Blacksmith|Arcane Blacksmith]] perk.

*It is possible to obtain this armor set, as well as the reward from [[Skyrim:Thonar Silver-Blood|Thonar Silver-Blood]]. By running through the mine with Madanach until the point at which you get this equipment, then stalling him until the other Forsworn have escaped the area will give you the opportunity to kill him, thus earning you the animosity of the surviving Forsworn prisoners, which they will express by attacking you once you leave. After defeating them, you can talk to Thonar, who will give you his [[Skyrim:Silver-Blood Family Ring|family ring]] as a sign of his thanks.
