This article lists all of the armor added by the Shivering Isles expansion. Other related articles include:

Random Armor

The items listed in this section are all found in randomly generated loot. Most of the items are "cursed" varieties of items found in regular Oblivion, which have more powerful enchantments than the regular varieties but in exchange have an additional negative effect.

"Level" provides the lowest level at which the item will be found; see Leveled List Info for more information about the use of leveled lists.

Reward for completing the Ghosts of Vitharn quest.

The lowest level version has an additional Vitharn Ghost script effect included in its enchantments. This is the script effect that turns you into a ghost at the end of the Ghosts of Vitharn quest; once the quest is over (i.e., once you have received the reward version of this helmet), the script has no effect. It is identical in appearance to a madness helm aside from the two antennae jutting out from above the faceplate.

Most of the armor worn by Dark Seducers, Golden Saints, and Knights of Order is not tagged as "playable" and therefore it cannot be looted from NPC corpses, nor can it be used by you even if you manage to obtain a copy. The following sections only provide information on equipment that you can obtain and use.
