- The scholar Phrastus of Elinhir claims that "Zalgaz" is Old Nedic for "lizard lady." But his rival, Cinnabar of Taneth, dismisses this as "A reeking load of guarwash."
Zalgaz's Den is a cave west of Belkarth. The cave is filled with crocodiles, giant snakes, swarming mudcrabs and lamia. The boss is a lamia named Zalgaz, accompanied by two of her handmaidens.
