- Everyone knows the fortress at Bangkorai Pass guards the way between the Fallen Wastes and the uplands around Evermore. What the peasants of Bangkorai know, especially those who don't want to pay the toll at the Pass, is that there's another route linking the two regions.
The Sunken Road is a cave in western Bangkorai, north of Hallin's Stand.
