The spirit of Alana Relin has led me to a crypt that will provide a doorway to the past. Now we'll finally learn how Faolchu was originally killed.

Find the Alessian Orders.
Talk to Commander Parmion at the Direnni Camp.

Detailed Walkthrough

After clicking on the Direnni Armor in the crypt, you scream as you are transported back in time thousands of years, though you stay in the same place. Alana Relin greets you; talk to her to advance the quest and learn the current tactical situation. Your first task is to find a copy of the enemy orders so your commander can make decisions on countering the attack.

Exit the crypt and follow the map marker through the western gate, where you'll find a fight, as well as the orders in a tent. Go to the Direnni camp (located in the same place as the modern-day Mages Guild camp) and talk to Commander Parmion. He orders Alana's team to kill Faolchu and you to defend the camp. You meet Laloriaran Dynar, the Last King of the Ayleids, who will explain that you will have to use the Direnni magic of your armor to locate the covert Shadow Scouts and dispatch them.

Listen to Parmion's speech, then find the scouts. Map indicators will lead you to them. Striking one of these Alessian Shadow Scouts will cause three Alessian Infantry to appear around you. Afterwards, a mortally wounded Scout Loriel will appear to tell you they were ambushed at Faolchu's headquarters. You must now find Faolchu's Lair.

Find your way along to the path further west, past the tent where you found the Alessian orders. The map marker leads to Scout Hanil, who informs you that Commander Parmion decided to join their assault. They were expecting Faolchu and his officers, and instead found themselves faced with a whole platoon. Parmion was killed in the ensuing fight, and Alana was taken.
