Masseranit is a bandit cave located on the first large island southwest of Molag Mar.
The entrance faces southeast just off the shoreline on the eastern side of the island. There are five hostile bandits here including three spellcasters. There are an impressive number of barrels and crates here given the relatively small size of this cave. The random loot to be found here includes scrolls, potions, alchemical ingredients, gold, gems, clothing, various sundries, jewelry, weapons, armor, an apprentice level armorer's hammer, magic items, ash statues, skooma, moon sugar and soul gems. A copy of the Destruction skill book The Horror of Castle Xyr can be found on a table in the southeast room.
