- TES: Arena: There are potions, but none can be made, much like in all the side games.
- TES II: Daggerfall: Potions can be made, but only with the aid of a Potion Maker.
- TES III: Morrowind: Potions can be made with the proper equipment.
- TES IV: Oblivion: Potions can be made with the proper equipment.
- TES V: Skyrim: Potions can be made, but only at an alchemy lab.
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Potions can be made, but only at an alchemist's lab.
