{{Lore Link|Tel Vos}} {{MWTense|is|was}} the home of the youngest of the {{Lore Link|House Telvanni|Telvanni}} Mage Lords, {{Lore Link|Aryon|Master Aryon}}. The tower {{MWTense|is|was}} located in the north-central {{Lore Link|Grazelands}}, and Master Aryon {{MWTense|is|was}} the only Councilman whose Tel {{MWTense|is|was}} not on an island. Perhaps as a sign of his youth and openness to new ways, Master Aryon's tower {{MWTense|is|was}} quite unique.

Tel Vos {{MWTense|is|was}} a hybrid of an Imperial fort and a traditional Telvanni mushroom tower, where Aryon himself {{MWTense|resides|resided}} at the top, accessible only with levitation. As a living fungal form, the tower actually {{MWTense|interpenetrates|interpenetrated}} the stonework, and Aryon's experiment {{MWTense|cannot be|couldn't have been}} seen as a complete success.

While Tel Vos {{MWTense|is|was}} worth a visit out of pure architectural interest, it also {{MWTense|has|had}} a [[Lore:Dwemer|Dwemer]] museum, a small but excellent library, and a dungeon. Tel Vos {{MWTense|is|was}} the primary regional center for the Grazelands, {{MWTense|extending|because it extended}} Telvanni influence beyond traditional reaches. The lack of services in {{Lore Link|Vos}} {{MWTense|make|made}} what's available in Tel Vos all the more important.<noinclude>

The fate of Tel Vos following the disastrous six years covering the Oblivion Crisis, the Red Year and the Argonian invasion is not recorded: however, a ship which survived and fled the latter was called the ''Pride of Tel Vos''. This may serve as an indication that Tel Vos had managed to become a regional centre of some importance, and may possibly hint that Master Aryon achieved - however briefly - his ambition of becoming Arch-Mage of House Telvanni, probably with the help of the Nerevarine: after all, neither Vos nor Tel Vos was of any importance without Aryon. However, such a reign must have been necessarily brief. Firstly because of the evidence of another Telvanni Arch-Mage, either a successor (and possible assassin) of Aryon or a rival claimant to the title - Frathen Drothan, who went rogue during the Oblivion Crisis; and secondly because the Argonian invasion is recorded as having been especially severe in the Telvanni areas, and it was afterwards reported that no official Telvanni strongholds remained standing in Morrowind, either on the mainland or Vvardenfell island.
