== Foreword ==

To put it simply, this is a book recounting the history of the Ayleids, particularly what happened to them following the fall of White-Gold Tower in 1E 129. This text was found following the events of ''The Final Statement'' and were written by King Malatu II of High Rock himself.

:'''The Ayleids: A History'''
:A Recounting of Events Following
:the Fall of White-Gold Tower
:By King Malatu II
:Translated by Gaius Perelius,
:Imperial Scribe

This text shall not delve deeply into the subject of the fall of the Ayleids, as scribes, beast, human, and mer have written on it many times over, and it is essentially a tedious topic for one with a more expansive knowledge of Ayleid history, such as myself. Specifically I refer to what was known as the Ayleidoon Exodus, in which Ayleid refugees living peacefully in High Rock mysteriously left without any warning. Much incentive caused word to never escape the lips of anyone who knew, as questions were never asked and none were willing to face to consequences of spilling this great secret. The refugees found themselves in the ancient tundra home of the pro-Nedic people, Atmora. However, believing it to be the northernmost populated elven continent "Altmora", they bestowed the name upon the land, making it their new home.And from a land beyond Mundus comes a strange man who is part of a race he calls the Irsantu, a strain of man-mer, descendants of the former King of Sardarvar Leed, Malsentu III, who, in a ritual gone wrong, threw himself and 99 others into a mysterious realm. This newcomer of the race calls himself Celdur Endoorsuurat, claiming himself to be the first to create a stable portal to Mundus. He is hailed as a great king, an opportunity he never had amongst his people, for he was exiled for reasons unknown before the death of his father. And now Celdur wants revenge... And since the Irsantu have arrived in Tamriel (taking Morrowind and Black Marsh), he has siezed his perfect opportunity...

:'''Part One'''
:'''Invasion'''

In 4E 123, the Ayleidoon Empire set sail, assaulting Solstheim. The Skaal ancestors living there had a very poorly developed military system, and their technology wasn't anywhere near that of the invasion force. They set up in the town of Skaal and planned an invasion of Morrowind. The plans were put into effect that summer, and Blacklight fell in the winter of 123.
