{{Lore Link|Ash Mountain}} is a volcano in southeastern {{Lore Link|Stonefalls}}, in the {{Lore Link|Daen Seeth}} region, west of the town of {{Lore Link|Senie}} and east of {{Lore Link|Ebonheart}}. {{Lore Link|Daedric}} ruins surround the mountain. Large numbers of {{Lore Link|scamp}}s and {{Lore Link|clannfear}} can be found here, along with {{Lore Link|shalk}} near the lava flows.{{ref|name=ESO|Events of [[Online:Online|ESO]]}}

The volcano served as a prison for {{Lore Link|Balreth}}, one of the {{Lore Link|Brothers of Strife (creature)|Brothers of Strife}}. In {{Year|2E 582}}, {{Lore Link|Tanval Indoril}}, the grandmaster of {{Lore Link|House Indoril}}, summoned Balreth and ordered him to destroy the {{Lore Link|Daggerfall Covenant}} army attacking the city of {{Lore Link|Davon's Watch}}. Balreth routed the invading army before they entered the city, but he was deemed too dangerous to remain unbound. With the help of the {{Lore Link|Hero|Vestige}} and the spirit of {{Lore Link|Mavos Siloreth}}, a Chimer who had originally bound Balreth in the {{Lore Link|First Era}}, Balreth was defeated beneath the Ash Mountain and his spirit was bound again.{{ref|name=ESO}}<noinclude>
