Jo'Kar the Mage is the son of a Mistral guard on Khenarthi's Roost. Being the son of a town guard, you would not expect Jo'Kar to have magical talents, and neither did the Thalmor agent whose robes were set on fire by a certain young khajiit. Luckily, the Thalmor agent, rather than have Jo'Kar arrested, trained him in the magical schools, for others as well as his own safety. That is until he was stationed elsewhere when Jo'Kar was 16. Jo'Kar, wanting to make his teacher proud, left Khenarthi's Roost to travel across Tamriel to learn as much as possible, to gain knowledge at all costs. In 4E 201 17th of Last Seed, a 26 year-old Jo'Kar enters the province of Skyrim.
