Ykalon was a Third Era fiefdom in High Rock, in the Iliac Bay. It was surrounded by Phrygias to the northeast, Daenia and Urvaius to the east, and Northmoor and Ilessan Hills to the south. Its capital was the city of Ykalon. Castle Llugwych, a former headquarters of the Blades, was located in this region. Thrafey vampires were known to stalk prey here, and the regional deity was Mara. Forces from Ykalon participated in the Battle of Firewaves which brought about the defeat of the Camoran Usurper. Perserverance Day was a festival held every year by the people of Ykalon during Sun's Dawn, though it was originally a solemn day of memorial for those killed in the battle.
The events of the Warp in the West led to most of the forests in Ykalon being burned down, and the land was brought under the rule of Daggerfall.
