Detailed Walkthrough
A Precious Heirloom
The biggest bookstore in Cyrodiil is called First Edition and is located in the Market District of the hold capital, the Imperial City. The bookstore is famous for its various limited editions of numerous rare books and also delivers to citizens outside of Cyrodiil, for example to Cindiri Arano in Raven Rock. Once you have freed Cindiri from Miraak’s spell, she will greet you with: "You look able enough to venture outside of town. Perhaps you could help me recover something precious that was lost?" When asked to elaborate she will explain that she had an important folio rebound at the First Edition bookstore. Unfortunately, the folio never made its way back to Raven Rock. When you ask her if it was aboard a ship she will say: "Yes, the "Strident Squall" or something like that. The damn thing sunk right off the coast of Solstheim. Can you imagine?" She then explains that one of the sailors managed to crawl back to Raven Rock and tell the guards about the wreckage. When you offer to locate the folio for her, she will be grateful and even refer to it as a ‘precious heirloom’ to the family.
The Strident Squall
You will not receive a map marker, nor will any citizens help you find the wreck. However, the Wreck of the Strident Squall is clearly visible on your map, at the southwestern tip of Solstheim. Travel to the wreck and fight five leveled reavers, including a Reaver Lord; one sits on a chair on the ground while the remaining four will shoot at you from the deck. When the coast is clear examine the ship for several valuable items, including an East Empire Company strongbox containing an East Empire Pendant on some shelves below deck. Go behind the stairs you came down on and turn so that they are on your right. There will be a chest slightly to the right of a large hole in the hull which contains the folio, a special edition of the naughty tome The Lusty Argonian Maid.
Return to Raven Rock and locate Cindiri Arano. When you hand her the missing folio she will be ecstatic: "You have no idea what this means to me... to my family. Reclamations bless you! Well, you've certainly proven your worth around here to me. Please, accept this gift as a token of my appreciation!" She will then hand you the reward, a leveled and enchanted ring, necklace, or circlet.
Notes
- If you find the folio at the shipwreck before initiating the quest, you can simply speak to her, return it, and receive your reward all at once.
